The Cost of Favor

by Barbara K. Lofton

The Cost of Favor

We are often quick to say, “I’m blessed and highly favored,” but no one ever talks about the cost of that favor.  God didn’t tell us being favored would be easy.  Jesus came to live and die that we might share that favor.  In her insightful book, Barbara K. Lofton talks about The Cost of Favor.

People often wonder how and why God would allow his people to suffer and endure pain while simultaneously saying that they are blessed and highly favored.  In The Cost of Favor, Lofton shares a powerful testimony that speaks of faith and obedience as well as being able to worship even in the most trying times.  The ability to be steadfast and to withstand the test is what led to this awesome witness, which glorifies God and his amazing power.

The cost of favor is indeed a blessing, as God desires us to do something great with all of our lives.  The adversity that comes in our life is not random.  Rather, these trials will prepare us to step into God’s will and fulfill our purpose. God paid the ultimate cost by giving us His son, thus, the cost of favor is but a small price to pay, which will yield a reward that only He can give.

My book contains poems, prayers and scriptures to help someone who is dealing or has dealt with loss of a loved one, pet, job, or any other loss. My book is my personal testimony and letters to my daughter. This book is to inspire someone to keep looking up in spite of the pain of death.
